The situation is exceptional in Kerala. Here people have often shown consistency in keeping vigil against the efforts of sangh pariwar to ''open account'' in Assembly/ Parliament.They have even "cross voted" against strange oportunistic alliances that could have normally helped the BJP to show its face in the Assembly/Parliament by gaining one or two seats. Alas! The'culture'patronised by Baby et al is now fast changing colour; from pale red to red-safron mix, as the neoliberal global economic agenda has been thrust down the throats of an unwilling people. It becomes now more fashionable to hail/compromise with/tolerate hatred and violence, in the name of defending tradition and culture in same vein as in condemning Muslims for their alleged/invented sympathies for terrorism; blaming Daliits and Adivasis for asking land and power and lamenting on their lack of willingness to work as landless agri-labourers; abhorring women, transgendereds, etc. for deriding the tradition for just asking for their constitutionally enforceable rights as citizens and for a little more freedom as humans.
