The Deshabhimani,(Thrissur ed )caption "Ayudhaparishilamam in
Chengara and Preparation (by the alleged extremists) for Armed
Offensive" ,citing the police sources , seems to be a reiteration of
something that has already been scripted. It appears as a logical
continuation of the Satamanyu script earlier.

One hopes that at this critical hour of imminent crackdown on the
peaceful agitation and its supporters, the conspicous silence/
indifference of the entire samskarika/rashtreeya Keralam over
Chengara land struggle may immediately take a dramatic turn. Let the
focus be at least temporarily shifted from Deshabhimani or even from
the CPM, for that matter..Let's shift the focus to the entire State-
Police-Media nexus that supports perpetuating gross injustices on
weaker sections and those who raises questions on their behalf. Doing
something really positive which may envisage renewed efforts by those
of the more prominent of the cultural leaders so far uninvolved, to
convince the Govt of the urgent need for another round of talks,a
round of real dialogue with the protesters, and above all, to avoid
violent State action at any cost.
