Dear Sreekumar,

I know that you are a memember of Green Youth from a very early time. Since
you are keeping a busy schedule or may be due to lack of interest, you are
not enagaging on your own in the discussion in the Green Youth. Well, thats
very well understandable.

{You are not in anyway abusing it because you need not. The main issue of
one who abuses is one's lack of knowledge and confidence. And the result
as in any such cases any where is loud mouthing of cantakerous statements.}

I think it was Anivar who had forwarded your text to Green Youth. Your
articles in Malayalam weeklies and also one that came in TWN, I read with
the same interest. It was also forwarded to the groups by some one.

To reach a wider audience than the closed groups I think you publish the
web artilce in Counter Currents.

Its the text and the idea that is important not the so-called "real" person.
Thats a quintessential problem. People react to people so that many things
can be avoided. When we look at the text, many things are more 'unvieled' to
us. Back patting and praising for receiving the praise of another one, this
"reciprocal" enterprise is what is actually happening in case of "face
reading " than "text reading".

A criticism of your text on CJs was 'ambushed" personally on your locational
"disadavanatge". ( leave aside the "evny" issue), but I think the same
'crticism can be extended to any other person who is located in a 'phoren'
country. So it was not a crticism intended to you but an pre-emptive strike
to silence anyone who in all probablity will speak on issues like "Chengara
and NSMs" . But the "right" turn of the logic in that criticism is that one
should not make statements on "Nandigram" and "Narodapatia" and Can anyone
wish away from not seeing the petty Parochialism in that personal attack.

The NGOs can be immediately silenced by bringing he issue of foreign
relations and fund. This strategy has been succesfully used by the Marxist
party once which turned at one point to its own detriment. But as the Nation
is opened to all capital flows and FIIs, why the NGOs are targeted? Again I
would say its "rightist" abuse of NGO movemenet. But this does not mean the
NGOs need not have a transparency in accounting and fund mobilization.

But the only serious criticism against NGOs is that on several occassion
they have buffered the upsurge within the Civil Society against the brutish
state forces and mediated on behalf of the State. The same State will only
view the NGO in a suspectful manner in "peaceful' times. I think it is
better for such NGOs to be silent on occassion than carrying on criticism
for the appreciation of brute forces.

TT, I appreciate your decency in not respondng to personal accusations.

This one is bcoz I felt like saying something after reading some mails
regarding your text on CJs.* I am also compelled to write this mail bcoz I
had posted in both FEC and Green Youth, a personal mail to me sent by you*,
an hour before the abuse machine switched on its bad mouth.
