PATHANAMTHITTA: A team sent by the District Medical Office to provide
free medical assistance to the families which continue their agitation
for the past one year at the Chengara estate failed in its objective
owing to the boycott of the agitators on Friday. Though the visit of
the medical team was the outcome of the discussions with the agitators
and SC/ST Welfare Minister A K Balan and Revenue Minister K P
Rajendran in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday, the failure of the
families in attending the medical camp add a new twist to the issue.
