Pathamthitta, Friday, August 22, 2008: The Chengara land struggle is once again hitting headlines. A Medical team, which were here to provide medical assistance to the Sadhu Jana Vimochana Samyukta Vedi members were withheld by estate workers today morning. Police have cordoned off the area. Yesterday, Laha Gopalan, leader of the Sadhu Jana Vimochana Samyukta Vedi had held discussions with Revenue Minister K.P. Rajendran and Minister for the Welfare of Backward and Scheduled Communities A.K. Balan.
