In view of the fact pointed out by friends from Pakistan - that it would normally take around 8 weeks for the process of visa clearance to be completed after submission of delegates' names - it has been decided to shift the dates of the Third Visa Free and Peaceful South Asia Convention to be held in India. It is now planned to hold the Convention in the SECOND HALF OF DECEMBER - preferably beginning December 20, 2008. December 20-21 are proposed to be the dates for the Convention in Delhi followed by a one-day fast on December 22. Following this, programmes are proposed for Allahabad on December 23 and 24. (Dates are subject to minor changes, if need be). Hopefully, if we begin by starting to take concrete steps rightaway, we shall all have ample time to make this Convention a success. As the first step, names of delegates from Pakistan would be expected to be sent: we hope that Saeeda Diep ji would help facilitate this process so that the list of delegates expected to attend the Convention is received by Rajeshwar who would be co-ordinating this aspect at this end ( his e mail id, as intimated in the earlier mail too, is [EMAIL PROTECTED]). Hopefully, we can go ahead with this programme.
