Hello All, In an unprecednted way the non-teaching staff of the English and Foreign Languages University (http://www.ciefl.ac.in/) publicly asserted their faith by making a public demonstration chanting *Jai Bhagawath Gita and Jai Sri Krishna*. This was in protest against students objecting to the employees bringing a * pujari* and publicly conducting religious rituals in the campus during office hours. When objected against, they called some ABVP candidates from outside and in collusion with them tried to force their way through. The students today, taking strong exception to this, demonstrated their unity and faith in secularism by taking part in a peaceful demonstration and affirming the need for secular values. One hopes that the students demonstrate their better sense in times to come.
