If you mean it is not already anarchy here in sex and gender relations, you/we can call it heterosexual-monogamous -patriarchy. This is imposed on each individual,coupled with brutal moral policing. Therefore, I cannot agree with a concept of morality that would keep silence or collude with gang-rapists and killers, when village panchayats instantly deliver their 'jungle justice' by stripping and parading naked, gang- raping, maiming , killing and even mutilating the dead bodies of victims,often in the context of extreme vigilance against anarchy ; in the contexts of youths wanting to exercise autonomy over their bodies, struggling for the right to self determination in love and sex,etc. It is your morals and sermons in sex that contribute to occurrences of many macabre incidents to the point of blocking even the operation of law , as happened in Khairlanji and elsewhere. You may see that under this moral regime, many a female child continues to be prevented from being born at all. Many parents find it a nightmare to face the frustration not seing their daughters married 'decently'.It fills their minds with shame and threatens their self esteem to see them denied the pleasures of love and sex for ever unless they succeed in arranging a ritual called marriage! Of course, you can see these things as morality and virtue, while someone seriously trying to suggest answers to this unnecessary "war on sex" and taking sides in self-determination in love and sex as "anarchy"! You might even like to call it "western decadence"[ never mind the Christian Right and other religious ideologies are also actively supporting the same Western (State's) efforts of sustaining the war on sex]. Unfortunately, in our scheme of things, it is commonplace that arguments are extended to accusations of 'cultural invasion' by the West to the Orient/Subaltern, without even caring to suggest who is the invader and who is the subaltern. Frequently crying wolf on Western aggression and neo-liberal invasion, the true colours of moralitic terror implicit in many a Left/Right Subaltern defender will ever remain hidden for that matter!
