Yesterday, apart from sentencing 14 leading activists from the 88 Generation Students Group to 65 years imprisonment, the military regime sentenced many more pro-democracy activists – students, monks, campaigners, etc. – to lengthy imprisonments. Family members of those activists were neither allowed to attend the hearings nor informed by the authorities before and after their sentences.
