There is sense of relief today that the BJP has lost in Rajasthan and could not come to power in Delhi though it tried very hard to hammer into the minds of the people about India's "war on terror". Unlike the kinds of Togadias and Ispade Gulan in green youth, people are matured to sense the situation and choose, perhaps the "lesser" (lesser means considerably lesser than the opponent S. Parivar) of the 'evil' from the alternatives.
The orgy of violence- wether it is blasts, attacks, riots, gujjar violence in Rajasthan- arouse some kind of libidinal pleasures in the isapde here in this group. If you have been an attentive reader of the group, one can observe this. When the Jaipur blast occurred, the virtual spade appeared. When Gujjars were protesting over the reservations and Vasundara raje fired at the Gujjars and as the blood was shed, we saw the re-appearance of this virtual character. Now it seems it is the core-competence. Poor CK Prahlad and Gary Hammel, they never must have thought Dracula will co-opt this term in defining his characteristic thirst for blood. Quite different to the fore-play, a desirable activity in sex, what Spade enjoys most is post-play. Typical to the masculinist obsession of unconditional surrender of the partner in the game of sex, Spade sets upon an agenda and brings in his own host of issues which has to be unconditionally obliged to by any one who enters into discussion. What is the premise of this horrorific thinking? 1. Islam is aiding terrorism 2. All Muslims are perhaps not terrorists but all the terrorists are Muslims (underlying this is a kind of logic vastly used in bank and entrance test. It also shows the hollowness of the Ispade!) 3. A counter-terrorism mechanism is needed. It means more draconian laws than POTA. 4. The hawkish demand for an aggression against Pak ( a refusal to admit both are Nuclear states) 5. Above all, there is nothing called Hindu Terror. The most innocent persons in the world according to Spade after Modi and himself are Sadvi and late Ariel Sharon. As no sensible person would not want to talk on false hypothesis and blatant lies, the Spade will bring in links as if they represent credible information. What are the links? The links are "copy lefted" material of RSS organizer. And beware my friends in Green youth, I have also seen an info that a Jingo-horror -Spadish blog by name, Off-stumped, correctly resembling the Modi-Spade thinking, has accused Counter Currents, an important source of news and views, as aiding "terrorism". If any one correctly remembers, when did we see this blog's name before in green youth. Who had actually linked it. It is the Spade, who else? I have a few responses here and am not inclined to know the Sapde's response to it. But that said I am placing it here for members' views. 1. The draconian laws will be imposed by the State only to perpetrate violence on its own citizens. The state-less actors little care for the POTA or TADA. It has time and again proved that POTA is effective weapon in State's hands to put anyone behind bars with no charge sheets etc. (Good that even Raja Bhaiiyya of BJP was taken into custody using a provision in this law!!) 2. Why did the intelligence failed in detecting Mumbai attack? Its any one's knowledge that intelligence has sufficient contacts with any actors and the machinery is actually in question. No doubt. Its not a new thing. NDA has failed miserably than the UPA. 3.The Malegaon blast has become more painful than a thorn in the flesh of BJP, particularly during the election time so that it wanted to somehow get rid of it. The Mumbai attack and the finishing of Kerkare had relieved BJP 4. If the accused for perpetrating terror are the jehadi elements, why should they carry out the attack precisely in time of elections as they would be sensible to know that the sangh will be the largest beneficiary of the attack. Beyond the conspiracy theory, we may have to look for alternative answers. Only the Spade due to his blood thirstiness would want to believe the intelligence fictions. 5. Is India the only effected party of mindless- violence? The Marriott Hotel bombing, the bomb blast Yemen- is it to be "spaded" aside? 6. Karzai, the US appointee, was saying he will be happy to know that US war planes for carpet bombing are bombed down by any one. 7. As long as the asymmetrical relation in this New World Order exists, the terrorism will happen. The world order is inherently violent. 8. But then the World Order advocates and Sapdes were some how able to design a discourse on Terrorism where by "others'" activity can be immediately castigated as "terrorism". The mainstream Left uses it for purposes accusing the "others" of the Left when development agenda of the Left is questioned. 9. The worst of terror activities, in a historical perspective, is the product of colonialism and later US imperialism. If any religion unknowingly or knowingly has aided violence across globe, it is perhaps the Roman religion. 10. I have seen Spade arguing some where that the "felt defeat" of Germans were the reason for Nazi emergence. You have secular readings of history from rise and fall of third reich to Martin Gilbert's' three volume 20th century history to Hobsbawm account of 20th century, you will not find this argument. But this is a common place argument most prolifically seen in Sangh texts. Take this point alone, I shall argue. 11. But Spade unable to sensibly say something and inability to find an apt phrase, will vanish into air or say boring things such as Spade has some work or things like that, no time to argue here etc. etc . I was even resisting to read the Spade. But sanjeev's and Bobby's argumentativeness prompted me. 12. We now know what spades "off-time work" is all about. Prepare for the next round of attacks in terms of finding suitable phrases. The Spade is a communal terror by himself. That said, I am terribly terribly feeling the limits of "compose Box" and above all, my previous arguments with Spade was overseen by a professor and indirectly referred to it in another group conversation. Thats is an issue. I don't want that to happen. But Spade is a Spade is a Spade is a Spade is a.........................
