Let me put it like this

We live with people who read books by writers who opposed Nazi regime,
stalinist Russia and many others who opposed cruel systems and even
took the risk of getting prisoned. It is often seen in those malayalam
literary magazines about books and people who were anti establishment,
mostly latin american and african personalities. There is an
acceptance to Primo Levi, Ngugu Wa Thiongo, Wole Soyinka, Rosa
Luxemburg or Solzhenitsyn. politics happen only in those far away
places, we forget to respond to whats happening in the places where we
live.

In the same way, we call it 'Talibanism' asif India is very fair to
it's minorities and women.

Now, atleast the media picked up the Mangalore issue, as it affected
middle class women there.

Look at Kerala, the liberal communist 'non'taliban shithole we live.
Chitralekha, a dalit autodriver is still being harassed by people in
her village. After the supporters helped her to buy an auto, our
progressive comrades put salt in the engine, and to add spice they
went to her house and shouted and showed obscenities and threatened
her. They were kind enough to file a case in her name as well.

Look at the incidence of posters appeared on the wall of a woman, who
participated in the night vigil against Chengara. Everyday torture is
accepted well here, and we look for Talibans to name it .

It is very well Indian, as all other everyday tortures
