Varun Gandhi is just the manifested symptom of a greater malady. Today I ran into a terrible debate with an educated ,(otherwise) respectable person, when we were part of a small gathering of kith and kin comprising caste hindus of Northern Kerala celebrating 28th day of birth (not birthday) of a close relative's child. That gentleman though did object to be identified as a sympathizer of sangh parivar, he continued to insist that whatever happened in Gujarat, Mumbai, Orissa and Karnataka, though were unfortunate, could be attributed more to "their" behavior towards "Us"plus the deprivations of "our"children through discrediting "our" merit in the name of reservations! (plz don't ask about the direct connections reservation has with the killing, raping and maiming of muslims and christians, and from where does the association come! ) Attempts at reasoning by way of countering with facts and figures were blindly opposed; it seemed that even without such diatribes of Varun Gandhi ,many a cool man of the upper caste is not only just willing to buy more and more of nonsense, he would also go to any extent in some "selfless" effort to smear his beloved ones with the same shit! This mindset apparently cuts across parties; even worse, is that parties whether be Left or Centrist adjust to this Right-wing pattern of thought(lessness) rather than encounter it & and risk their chunk of votes!
