These professors might be thinking of short cut methods to escape 'being questioned by the poorest people of this country, one day', perhaps? Let them have lesser and lesser inclination to update their knowledge and belief systems . Lesser willingness to motivate boys and girls getting rid of the chronic (ailment of ) mediocrity generated through two-three generations of higher learning is quite understandable. This must be just a human instict of self preservation! Let janapriyata take newer and newer forms in the academic sphere.. for example, more and more acts of bullying , authoritarianism, commercialism, crass expressions of sexism, moral policing, casteism and so on. But, these might not ultimately help them once it is told that the King is undressed!
