That is precisely why it was not a mistake but a slip!!! (to become uttered
through inadvertence).
A Freudian slip:an error in speech, memory, or physical action that is
interpreted as occurring due to the interference of some unconscious
*('dynamically
repressed')* wish, conflict, or train of thought.
Hope this is clear.....To paraphrase a new self styled Marixist
