Having known him personally for over 15 years, have no words to express my sorrow. I belong to a generation greatly influenced by his extensive writings (more so in telugu than in English). His activism, attention to detail and insightful analysis of for over 30 years on many issues - human rights movement, naxalism, development politics, sociology, progressive (telugu) litreature - will be greatly missed by all of us. It's a great loss for many grassroot movements. Human Rights Forum (HRF), Balagopal was closely associated with, has recently put all it's reports and bulletins online: http://www.humanrightsforum.org/ Srinivas > Date: Fri, 9 Oct 2009 00:49:32 +0530 > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] > Subject: [foil] K Balagopal Has Passed Away! > > Just received an SMS.
