Dear Sekhar,

While I'd personally not go with some of the obvious hypes - as
regards the "whole world" or the "colonizes" bit, the focus on the US
is defined by the specific context as elaborated in the release.
Two, in India, nuclear power has historically functioned as the
stepping stone for development of nuclear weapons.
The first explosion (or "implosion"?) was carried out back on 18
May1974 out of plutonium obtained from the spent fuel rods of the
Canada-supplied reactor CIRUS for "peaceful purpose".
Moreover, Indian Bombs are plutonium based. Plutonium does not occur
naturally. It comes from reprocessing of the spent fuel of the nuclear
reactors. The link between nuclear "power" and "power" (or weapon) is
too obvious.

The nuclear establishment in India has worked as one of the earliest
and most consistent proponents of weaponisation in India.
May look up mine 'India Goes Nuclear: Tracing the Trajectory' in Peace
