There are reasons to apprehend that it is rather a storm over a teacup. A stray mention of Trotsky by the number two/three of the UCPN(M) which is formally wedded to the Prachanda Path may not amount to much.
In fact, it appears that Bhattarai is actually talking of the impossibility of advancing the revolution in Nepal without a favourable situation in the region. In that specific context, he is implicitly talking of the impossibility of "Socialism in A Single Country". So far so good. But that actually reflects a mood of despondency of sorts.
