"Some leaders regard foreigners as their masters and they are trying to invite foreign intervention," PM Nepal said, alluding to the Maoist chairman's remarks. Nepal also claimed that the Maoists were trying to capture power by inviting foreign intervention. "Nepalis are capable of resolving problems on their own," he said while inaugurating the convention of CPN (UML) Dolakha district committee in Charikot. He further said the current government does not treat foreign countries as 'masters' and that it wants to maintain equal relations with neighboring India and China. PM Nepal, who spent most of his time criticising the Maoists, also accused the former rebel party of inciting anarchy and lawlessness when it was in the government. Nepal, who lost the Constituent Assembly election at the hands of Maoist candidates, in two constituencies, said no fair election is possible as long as the Maoist combatants remain in the cantonments. Maoist cadres chanted slogans against the government and waved black flags at PM Nepal when he arrived in Charikot accompanied by Deputy PM Sujata Koirala, culture minister Minendra Rijal and tourism minister Sarat Singh Bhandari who were on their way back after attending the Rumjatar Festival in Okhaldhunda. -- Peace Is Doable -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Green Youth Movement" group.
