Dear All, I was looking at the existing legal options to prevent GM food in the country. I was a little bit familiar with the prevention of food adulteration act 1954, and that gives room to ban GM food as adulterated food. THe 2006 law Food Safety and Standards Act: has this act come into force, in all states and all its provisions; has this act repealed the 1954 Act. What is the ruling law in Kerala on this count now, the 1954 or 2006 law. Thanks Farida
