BUZZ Alert from Dr Ekbal http://www.google.com/buzz/ekbalb/NV8uRvyGoFd/The-delegates-who-are-participating-in-the
The delegates who are participating in the National Conference on Free Software being held at Bangaluru met and after discussion formed the Free Software Movement of India a coalition of the organisations and movements working to popularise Free Software. Mr. Joseph Thomas was elected as the President and Mr. Kiran Chandra from AP as the secretary of FSMI. T My Response - നല്ല തമാശ . Free Software Movement in India have a distributed nature. Please dont hijack that name to form a CPIM organ. Kiran Chandra already proved that he cant do anything other than being loyal to his Party and Novell . Happy to Know that Joseph Thomas from ATPS become eligible for the CPIM Free Software movement president position through his creative involvements to own/destroy Govt FOSS projects in kerala. ---------- Yesterday some media friends in Bangalore asked me why i am not participating in National Conference on Free Software I replied as below No.I am not participating due to following Reasons 1. Busy Personal schedule . My marriage is on march end and little busy with the arrangements 2. I am sad to see Novell as a sponsor again in National Conference on Free Software[1]. It seems Kiran Chandra and Team didn't studied anything from the community response[2][3] on Kochi Conference . More than that Now they have given Panel slots for the Sponsors including Novell. But it is good that they atleast published it on the website unlike last year. It gives us an option for opting out from it .
