Dear Afthab Ellath , Many thanks for endorsing our petition reiterating our demand for a judicial enquiry into the Batla House 'encounter'. I am writing to you in connection with our campaign. As you are aware in the Batla House encounter a year and a half ago, one of our students (from Jamia) was killed by the police and two other students were arrested on the charge of planting bombs. Immediately in its aftermath some of us came together to form the Jamia Teachers’ Solidarity Association .
