For me the whole situation seems to be absurd.
I believe sarath stood against the so called establishments
and conventionalities. His documentary (co direction - p baburaj) was not
selected for International Documentary and Short Film festival of kerala
2009. (by a pre selection committee which consists of cpim idiots who had
nothing to do with films and documentaries ) . I remember sarath and p
baburaj withdrawing the film after sending a resentment note . The same
academy now gives awards in his name and will show the film about sarath
in retrospective section .Drolly there will be also a retrospective
package of Sarat's films in the upcoming International Documentary and Short
Film Festival of Kerala June 2010. And his friends will make a documentary
on him.
*The society of kerala idealize people after death rather
than accepting their politics when alive .*
Such a fucking world this is ....
