Dear Friends in Hyderabad This is in continuation of our state level consultation on Right to Food Act , which was held on 26th June 2009at Sundariah Vignana Kendram, Hyderabad. It is time now to reflect what was the outcome of the consultation. Some of us taken resolutions with demands at grass root level and submitted to the Government of India.
In this connection, , National Dalit Forum , Center for Rural Studies and Development and FIAN Andhra Pradesh would like to organize follow up consultation on Proposed National Food Security Bill on 21st July at 10.00am at Sundariah Vignanakendram, Baghlingampalli, Hyderabad The very proposal of the draft on Food Security Bill has raised several issues and challenges, which have initiated debates in different forums. Most of these debates have focused on what the Act should include to control food crises and ensure food security. It also shows that the Government has not fully been focused food security of most vulnerable groups like Dalits, Adivasis, Disabled , Destitute etc.,. Hence we request you to attend the consultation and share your experiences and suggestions on the gaps of proposed Food Security Bill for right to feed oneself with dignity. You are requested to confirm your participation before 19th of July to M.Suneetha – coordinator – Mobile: 9949943480 - E-mail:[email protected] Thanking you, With regards, *Karthik Navayan * *Programme Officer *National Dalit Forum -- B.Karthik Navayan, Advocate H.No. 21-7-761, Opp.High Court Post Office, Gansi Bazar, Hyderabad, PIN-500002, AP.
