In north India they call it honour killing, in Kerala and Mangalore they call it love jihad. burning the victims is probably a less deadly punishment than letting them live bearing the shame of being told that their sublime love was part of some religious conspiracy.the media tirade has left thousands of men and women who have married outside their religion in a state of terror. the media's blood dripping fangs are now busy elsewhere. An honorable individual might, given a choice, choose to be a victim of honour killing than a living, indefensible victim of the media, police harangue, for marrying outside the religion. see this new story from the industrial hub of Noida. farida

Sangeeta had married Ravinder Kataria, whom she met while pursuing a computer course in Mayur Vihar, at an Arya Samaj temple in Delhi on February 15. A resident of Sector 8 Noida, Sangeeta was a Gurjjar, while her husband <http://www.expressindia.com/latest-news/girl-married-secretly-family-burns-her-alive/648910/#>was from the Jaatav community. “Sangeeta knew her family would never approve of the relationship <http://www.expressindia.com/latest-news/girl-married-secretly-family-burns-her-alive/648910/#>. So we got married in February this year in the presence of my father,” said Kataria at the Sector 58 police station. However, both stayed on at their respective houses and used to meet after office <http://www.expressindia.com/latest-news/girl-married-secretly-family-burns-her-alive/648910/#>hours. In April, Sangeeta’s family members told her that they had started looking for a groom <http://www.expressindia.com/latest-news/girl-married-secretly-family-burns-her-alive/648910/#>for her. “On April 30, she told her family about her marital status. After that she was confined to her home and prohibited from even making calls. She spoke to me just once after that,” added Kataria. On July 11, Sangeeta was able to come to Kataria’s house, the police said, adding that his father Devi Ram<http://www.expressindia.com/latest-news/girl-married-secretly-family-burns-her-alive/648910/#>, however, asked the girl to return to her house. Meanwhile, after a meeting, both the families decided that she would come to stay at the Kataria residence in Sector 66 from July 18. Sangeeta went back with her parents, but after that Kataria could not contact her. “Her phone was out of reach and was later switched off. I suspected foul play,” Kataria said, adding that he immediately lodged a complaint with the SSP’s office. According to the police, on July 13, Sangeeta’s family took her to their ancestral Bargadpur village in Bulandshahr. “They strangled her and later set her on fire. They then scattered her remains in the fields,” said Gautam Budh Nagar SSP Ashok K Singh. The police have recovered some bones which will be sent for DNA testing<http://www.expressindia.com/latest-news/girl-married-secretly-family-burns-her-alive/648910/#>. The UP Police have arrested Sangeeta’s mother Ramwati, aunt Jagwati, cousin Manoj, uncle Sukhbir and relative Dayaram, while a hunt is on to nab her father Beer Singh, he added. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Green Youth Movement" group.
