*New Delhi:* Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh once again raised
doubts on Batla House encounter in a Convention in New Delhi. According to
him, the angle of gunshot on head of Mohammad Sajid (a 17 year old student
who was killed in Batla House encounter in September of 19 in 2008) is
hardly believable in real police encounters. Jamia Teachers Solidarity
Associations (JTSA) organized a national Convention on the second
anniversary of Batla House encounter. Some students from Jamia Millia
Islamia showed him black ribbons and shouted shame shame, Digvijaya Singh!

He further stated “Azamgarh( a district of Utter Pradesh in northern India)
is a peaceful district where Hindus and Muslims living peacefully together”.
Discussing on falsely implication of Muslim youths in terror cases he said
that that if a youth has 40-59 FIR across the country it is tough to finish
all cases in this life. Answering question about demand ban on RSS he said
that the ban is not solution to solve any problem but he couldn’t reply that
then why SIMI is banned.

Teesta Setalvad, activists explained the root of communal violence in the
country. According to her the history of communal violence is old in India
but after partition it has increased. She further states “the Hindu
terrorism is today’s reality nobody can deny it. Indian intelligence bureau
(IB) is saffronized today.”

CPI s leader Amarjeer Singh Kaur said “there are different aspects of
terrorism. We have to oppose all kinds of terrorism. It is as truly sad fact
that the people, who opposed secularism, assassinated Gandhi, supported
Hindu rashtra and then came in power. ” Criticizing government perception on
Batla House encounter she said that it is duty of government to satisfy the
people if they are not satisfied.

Hyderabad based Civil Liberties Monitoring Committee general secretary
Lateef Mohammad Khan described the conditions of youths who have been picked
up on the name of Mecca Masjid blast in Hyderabad in 2007. He has read some
panic letter of prisoners who were highly tortured in police custody. He
further said that the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case is the biggest example
of politics of terrorism and suspicions in the country.

S.M. Mushrif former IG of Maharashtra and author of noted book “Who killed
Karkare” discussed roots of terrorism in detail. He said that the RSS is
behind the Ahmedabad blast to teach a lesson to Gujrat chief minister who
considered his ideology to be superior than others, and to create havoc
against SIMI which ban was lifted by tribunal at that time. He further
stated that the link of American citizen Kenth Heywood is most important in
this incident. (Kenth Hey Wood was working for an IT firm in Navi Mumbai and
terror email is allegedly sent through his laptop after the Ahmedabad blast
in July 2008) Talking about 26/11 he explained“there were two different
operations in 26/11; one was to kill Maharashtra ATS chief Hement Karkare
which is done by Hindu terrorist outfits and other one by Pakistani
terrorist. ”

Criticizing IB he further said “there is no state terrorism but state is now
under terror.”

Researcher and activist Bobby Kunhu explained love jihad in context of
Kerla. He said “Jihad is love there is no love jihad.”

JTSA passed several resolutions including the demand for a Judicial Probe
into the Batla House ‘encounter’ and the clubbing of various blasts cases
for a speedy trial of the accused.
