According to them, the current caretaker government is eligible to introduce the budget and such a proposed amendment is not required. A joint meeting of the parties held at the prime ministerial residence in Baluwatar today decided to seek the presidential order for the amendment in the constitutional provision as the amendment through parliamentary procedure is unlikely before November 19 due to time constraint. At the meeting, two fringe parties CPN-Unified and Dalit Janajati Party however raised their dissatisfaction over the decision to allow the government despite its caretaker status to introduce the budget.
