To,

The Director General Of Police ( Gujarat ),

Gandhinagar

Subject- Provide Protection and Revoke order of Dismissal of Head Constable

Shri Naresh Brahmbhatt

Sir,

The dismissal of Head Constable Shri Naresh Brahmbhatt of Gujarat Police
Force, which we came to know from the media, surprised us.

It is ridiculous to dismiss Shri Naresh Brahmbhatt, snatch his bread because
he has corroborated the fact of the affidavit of IPS officer, Shri Sanjeev
Bhatt before the Supreme Court that he(Sanjeev Bhatt) was summoned by CM to
attend the meeting of the police officers in Gandhinagar on 27th February ,
2002 night, where the police officers were asked to let Hindus vent their
anger.

The Gujarat police authorities should have appreciated Naresh Brahmbhatt's
voluntary disclosure which may well be useful towards enquiry in right
direction. and salvage the image and prestige of police in uniform. Instead,
Head Constable Naresh Brahmbhatt was out rightly dismissed without being
heard.

We firmly believe that the act of dismissal of Brahmbhatt is UNJUST and a
deliberate step to send signal and scare others not to come out before the
enquiry commissions and Supreme Court or face the consequences.

Direct dismissal of a long termed confirmed govt. servant without giving him
any chance to explain is unconstitutional and an infringement of individual
right which is illegal.

Under these circumstances, we demand to revoke the dismissal and reinstate
Naresh Brahmbhatt in his post immediately and ensure his safety, as he is
one of a witness.

Yours
