Date - 30 th June 2011 Time - 5.30pm to 9pm.

Venue: Cellar, Sundarayya Vigyana Kendram, Baghlingampally, Hyderabad

*Issue - *Post Fukushima, most countries across the globe are suspending
their future nuclear plans while aiming to shut down the existing facilities
in the near future.

However, Govt. of India, tells us that Nuclear is not only Cheap but Safe.

It is thus no surprise, that even before mining of actual Uranium could
begin in Tummalapalle of Kadapa, there is an expansion plan for a second
mine, for which there is going to be a public hearing on the 5th July 2011.

And the GOI has given a go ahead for the setting up of 10,000 MW of Nuclear
Power plants in Kovvada village of Srikakulam district. While we have the
dagger of Uranium mines beside the Nagarjuna Sagar dam in Nalgonda hanging
over our heads...

Hence, its extremely important to discuss this issue across AP. And this is
one of the series of debates that we are initiating on the merits and
demerits of Nuclear Power.

Do join us for this most important discussion on this most important issue
that is going to impact us, our children and their childrens' children.

Regards

Saraswati Kavula
Joint Convenor
