This report says that a bride 'skulked' on the 4th day of her marriage from
the groom's house with 101 sovereigns of gold after threatening her in laws
that she would commit suicide, if not allowed to move. The Kerala 'Police
caught hold' of her at Surat(Gujarat), after tracing the tower through which
she contacted her lover and then ...flying up to Gujrat! The report says she
'(mis)appropriated' all the gold.. The caption reads like this : "Bride
Caught as She Skulked with 101 Gold Sovereigns". The paper is so certain
about that.. the gold actually doesn't not belong to her, legally or
otherwise!
Does this not give enough clue about the face of Kerala turning to a mega
khap panchayat ? The sophisticated ways of moral policing and media-police
nexus will ever try to hide more, than your eyes will see.The reader may
perhaps learn from the names mentioned, that the bride and her lover belong
to different religions. By the way, the link is from Deshabhimani, a
newspaper owned and fully managed by CPI(M)...

You cannot build anything on the foundations of caste. You cannot build up a
nation, you cannot build up a morality. Anything that you will build on the
foundations of caste will crack and will never be a whole.
