Madambi Terror, 'Datlit Terrorism' and
other Terrorrisms..
When a mysterious & totally clueless murder took place in Varkala in Kerala
a year ago, the state , police and sections of media were quick to find
'dalit terrorism', blame DHRM & arrest its workers, ransack dalit colonies
and so on.. When in another incident in Kottayam, a teacher's hand was cut
off by criminals claiming no allegiance to any organization, the state was
quick to arrest or harass anybody who had even remote link with a Muslim
organization which by itself publicly disowned the crime and even prepared
its cadres to donate blood for the victim..
But this time, there is no alarm on the part of state,media,police or
political leadership on this variety of terror. They even seem to create an
impression that we have no option but to settle to live with these criminal
gangs, when people in power themselves are the gang leaders.
What will the demand for Mr K B Ganeshkumar to step down as Minister look
like, if this is not accompanied with mobilization to bring him to book as
one of the prime suspects in a conspiracy to eliminate another person who
just tried to access normal legal remedies against certain discrimination
and bad practices in an educational institution?
Is madambi terror something that can't just be tackled with normal civil and
criminal laws?..
and no anti-terrorist 'specials' apply either, in such cases..!
What is the remedy?*
