This was sadly a statement with communal overtones in the sense that the 'second Marad' was killing of eight persons who belon...ged to Hindu fishermen community, by Muslim fanatics who in turn looked like taking revenge on an earlier killing of five(or four?) Muslim fish workers by RSS activists in 'the first Marad'.
These two incidents of communal killing among rival fishermen communities happened in Kozhikkode dist in the earlier half of the first decade of 21st Century. But,he didn't say just that 'THE Marad(s)' will repeat! Even with such loose play both by the CPI(M) and the BJP leaders with communizing speeches aiming garnering Hindu votes, the greatest relief is that 'Account' could not yet be opened by the 'Guj fame' BJP .
