Speaking at a programme in Bidur of Nuwakot on Tuesday, Baidya said that
his party is open to an alliance with nationalists including former king
and former 'Panchas'. He also said that his party will sit for talks with
the government and the four parties only if they do not place any condition.

On Monday, Baidya had mentioned about possible "working alliance" with
pro-monarchists while speaking at a press conference in Hetauda.

He warned that the CPN-M will strongly oppose any attempt by the incumbent
government and the major political parties to hold the election forcefully.

Baidya said that nationalist forces should come together to resist
"increased foreign intervention". Even as he talked about working relation
with the former king, the Maoist leader made it clear that the CPN-Maoist
will not compromise on republicanism, secularism and federalism.
