CPN-M won’t let polls take place ‘at any cost’: Biswokarma

A senior leader of poll-opposing CPN-M has warned that his party would
react strongly if the elections were held in the current circumstances.

Khadka Bahadur Biswokarma, who is the politburo member of CPN-M, said his
party won’t let the election scheduled for November take place “at any
cost” until there is guarantee that it will ensure the much-awaited
constitution.

Speaking at a press meet organised by Revolutionary Jouranlists
Association, in Kawasoti of Nawalparasi district Saturday morning, he
claimed that the current government was not capable enough to resolve the
deepening political impasse in the country and termed the ministers in the
government as “mere rubber stamps”.

Biswokarma was also of the opinion that only the government led by
democratically elected political party leaders would be able to give a way
out to the problems facing the country, and demanded that the current Chief
Justice-led government be scrapped at the earliest.
