The PIL which has been filed by Mr Sunil Sarawgi from Kolkata complains that Mr Narendra Modi while filling up his candidature form and submitting his affidavit as required under the Election law did not furnish the name and other details of Smt. Jashodaben N. Modi though she was his wedded wife. Mr Sarawagi has contended that his letter to the Chief Election Commissioner as well as the Chief Electoral Officer of Gujarat complaining about this fatal defect has not been acted upon and it is the allegation of the petitioner that the high and mighty are permitted to get away by contravening the provisions of law.
