[By selecting (much better known) Malala and (far lesser known,
regardless of a number of international awards) Satyarthi, on the face
of it, the committee, more than rewarding the "actual achievements",
has elected to highlight two issues of seminal importance - a girl
child's right to education (and Malala is a living and no doubt by far
the most glaring symbol,
regardless of "actual achievements"), and a child's right to
childhood. And by pairing these two an obvious message has been
publicly sent out to the two constantly feuding neighbouring states.
Obviously, neither government can be too happy about this
(unfavourable) limelight. And "nationalists", on both sides of the
divide, can of course very well fantasise about "Western conspiracy"
underlying all these.
The reaction from the Pak extremists could hardly be any different in
tone and tenor. Birds of a feather flock together.]

The exploitation of the prevalence of child labour has been a great
subject to downimage India in the West. The situation of child labour
is highly condemnable, no doubt but if you go through the archives of
statements of leading(?) westerners, newspapers and columns you will
find them targeting India most despite the fact that the same illness(
of child labour) is very much existing in several ex-colonies in
Africa and southern America. But as these countries were not emerging
as world economic power to break the hegemony of the West, the cases
of such horrible child labour and rings after rings of syndicate
thriving child sex rackets therein were not talked that much and made
forgot about any war-cry while being loud on India!
On the instigation of Pakistan supporters in US Congress and Senate,
the first serious attack was to secure ban on the sale of Rugs and
carpets from Mirzapur-Varansi region in USA in 1990s as Pakistan
carpets were losing out! Irony is that Pakistan's complete carpet
business is majorly dependent on child labour but such ban on sale was
only meted on India. During the 1990s, Satyarthi was instrumental in
convincing many European countries to boycott Indian carpets made with
child labour. He was helped by some Western activists to develop a
self-certification label for Indian carpets headed for export that
said they were made without of child labour which was completely and
falsely labelled in the looms of Pakistan with 75% children working
there. Pakistan's export of carpets trebled while India lost out. In
1994, the certification trademark was called Rugmark which is now
known as GoodWeave International.
Each time Satyarhti spoke bad about India at the platform of Harvards,
and on Washington Posts, he came back home with a trophy of this Prize
or that Prize. The deep western conspiracy against India is highly
reflected in the book which Bupinder Zutshi co-authored (
“Globalization, Development and Child Rights”) with Satyarthi in 2006.
This is the same Zutshi who teaches at JNU, and was involved in a
Project on Evaluation of Food Support from USAID for Education
Initiative in India through the Catholic Relief Services (CRS),
Sponsored by the USAID. He is the same man who poohs poohs India's
economic rise in all his 10 International Projects, books and
articles.

.
Satyarthi's daughter Miss Asmita was sent to a Sepoy training centre
in USA known as the International Centre for Missing & Exploited
Children (1700 Diagonal Road, Suite 625 Alexandria, Virginia 22314
USA; +1 703 837 6313 email: [email protected]
mailto:[email protected] ) though she has been groomed already in
USA since 2005 being trained and made to hate India in her studies at
University of Iowa Center for Human Rights,(2005; where she got
scholarship without any perfect GRE score generally required by an
Indian!), and also through her work as Intern for US Senate. You have
to see what specific Congressional hearings she attended where India
was bashed! As an Intern, she used to meet Hilary Clinton regularly in
post-Monica days. No wonder, Mme Clinton recomended her father's name
for Nobel Prize way way back in early 2000s!
This year, was the most suitable slap time and denouncement for India
by the India-bashing cronies at Nobel by awarding Satyarthi when a
Child Labour Chai wala has become Prime Minister!
