The following was the forwarding note to my mail, 'On AAP's Operation Vistar: The Tussle Within', posted on the last Feb. 15: This was the forwarding note (in full) to a mail posted on Feb. 12 last: The news story reproduced at sl. no. II below appears to contradict the speculations, elsewhere, that the AAP would immediately launch an Operation Vistar on the back of its dizzying success in Delhi. The story, however, does not name its source. In fact the decision to fight the last parliamentary election virtually all over the country is generally attributed to Yogendra Yadav. Understandably, Arvind Kejriwal was not in favour. This time the AAP already announced its decision not to fight the municipal polls in Punjab. And, there is no shift post the Delhi poll outcome. (See: <https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/greenyouth/GizibPRlVLI>.) Compare the above quote with the following: Now, Kejriwal has made his position amply clear in his Ramlila Maidan speech yesterday: While indirectly speaking to a few senior leaders, Kejriwal said: ***"During the past few days, I have been watching people from my party say on TV that we will fight elections here and there. We will contest elections in five states, ten states, etc. I can see some amount of arrogance in these statements. I do not think this is right."*** [Emphasis added.] Kejriwal elaborated that now ***the AAP would focus only on Delhi's development for the next five years*** [emphasis added]. (Source: <file:///D:/Documents%20and%20Settings/user/My%20Documents/Downloads/epaper-Lucknow-English-Edition_15-02-2015.pdf>.) ***That does not of course mean that the tension stands finally resolved. There will be pressures from state units. And, even Yogendra Yadav does not appear to have finally given up. But, to be sure, for now, Kejriwal will prevail.*** [Emphasis added now.] (End of the Note, dated Feb. 15. Source: <https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/india-unity/conversations/topics/55515>.) Reproduced below at sl. no. I & II are two reports, which are self-explanatory and complementary to each other. (End of the note. See: <https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/india-unity/conversations/messages/55604>.)] http://www.ndtv.com/india-news/yogendra-yadav-to-be-removed-from-key-aap-panel-say-sources-744273 Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan Removed From Key AAP Panel All India | Reported by Sonal Mehrotra, Edited by Deepshikha Ghosh | Updated: March 04, 2015 21:22 IST NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party today dropped two founder members, Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, from its decision-making process as it battled the first major internal crisis in its three-year history. Mr Yadav and Mr Bhushan, who have repeatedly criticised party chief Arvind Kejriwal in the past few days, were voted out of AAP's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) in a six-hour meeting that saw hard negotiations till late Wednesday evening. Mr Kejriwal skipped the meeting. "I will work on whatever the party assigns me," Mr Yadav told reporters later. Mr Bhushan said, "All I can say is, I and Yogendra yadav won't be members of the PAC for the time being." The party reportedly spent hours trying to get Mr Yadav and Mr Bhushan to accept a face-saving exit and quit without a vote. Kumar Vishwas, who presided over the meeting, reportedly spoke to them in a separate room, but the two leaders resisted the offer to "resign gracefully" and even refused alternative posts, said sources. Mr Kejriwal's second-in-command Manish Sisodia reportedly moved the proposal to drop them. Of the 20 National Executive members who attended the meeting, 11 voted to remove the two dissenting leaders. Kumar Vishwas did not vote. The party stood firmly behind Arvind Kejriwal - who took charge as Delhi's Chief Minister last month after the party's historic win - and rejected his offer to resign as party chief. He had said in a letter this morning that he was "overburdened with work" and would not be able to handle both jobs efficiently. The 46-year-old will fly to Bengaluru tomorrow for 10-day treatment at a naturopathy farm. "I am deeply hurt and pained by what is going on in the party... I refuse to be drawn in this ugly battle," he had tweeted on Tuesday. The intense bickering played out in several internal notes flying between two camps.Story First Published: March 04, 2015 17:46 IST -- Peace Is Doable -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Green Youth Movement" group.
