The Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday morning released a video of the National
Council meeting that happened amid chaos at a resort in Kapashera on
Saturday.
The party, which had convened a meeting to decide the fate of
founder-members Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, had expelled the
leaders amid scenes of strife from the party national executive for
"anti-party activities".
The video which was released was posted on micro-blogging site Twitter:

At the council meeting, Kejriwal was said to have again offered his
resignation as party convenor. Bitter and emotional, he told members
that "two teams of the party were at work during the Delhi election,
one trying to ensure an AAP victory and the otherworking against it".
He asked members to "choose".
The Kejriwal camp, which enjoys the support of most MLAs, also
rejected the charge of hooliganism at the meeting. It hit back at
Yadav and Bhushan, saying the Delhi unit of AAP could send a complaint
to the disciplinary committee and seek expulsion of the four leaders
from the party.

AAP crisis: How Kejriwal stumped his rivals at national council meeting

NEW DELHI: In a deft move that stumped his rivals, Aam Aadmi Party
(AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal delivered a speech at the national council
meeting that set the tone for explusion of Prashant Bhushan and
Yogendra Yadav. He asked the members to choose between him and the
duo. The message--and the outcome--was never in any doubt after that.

Sources said Kejriwal accused the two of working for the party's
defeat, stopping people from donating funds to it and threatening to
discredit and tarnish the party's image.

He is reported to have accused Bhushan and Yadav of backstabbing him.
"Meri peeth mein chura bhonka in logon ne," he said, contrasting this
with what he described as his blind faith in Bhushan by recalling the
time when he had ended up in prison.

As it happened: AAP's national council meet

"In May, soon after the Lok Sabha elections, I was appearing in court
for a defamation case. When the court asked me to furnish a bond, I
looked at Prashant who silently shook his head. Without giving a
second's thought to the repercussions, I refused to pay the bond. This
is the kind of faith I had in him," he said in an emotional outburst.
The AAP chief spent 15 days in prison and was able to get out only
after he had paid the bail bond.

He added that some people worked to win while others worked to lose,
and only those who are for winning should side with him. "Kuch haar ki
rajneeti karte hain, kuch jeet ki. Jo jeet ki rajneeti karna chahte
hain, woh hamare saath rahe," he reportedly said.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday removed party's internal Lokpal
Admiral L. Ramdas and Prashant Bhushan as the chief of National
Disciplinary Committee, a day after the latter and senior leader
Yogendra Yadav were expelled from the National Executive (NE).

At an "emergency" NE meeting in Delhi, the party removed former Navy
chief Ramdas from the internal Lokpal and set up a new Lokpal panel,
comprising former IPS officers N. Dilip Kumar and Rakesh Sinha and
educationist S.P. Verma.

"All these people have given their consent to be part of the party's
Lokpal panel," party's national secretary Pankaj Gupta said.

The AAP National Executive, while sacking Mr. Bhushan from the
disciplinary committee, decided to replace him by a three-member panel
headed by Dinesh Waghela. The other members are Arvind Kejriwal
loyalist Ashish Khetan and national secretary Pankaj Gupta.

The removal of Mr. Ramdas came a day after he was sent an SMS asking
him not to attend the National Council meeting to avoid
"confrontation".

Miffed over the snub, he then wrote a letter to the Political Affairs
Committee criticising the leadership.

Mr. Ramdas said he had come from his village in Maharashtra to attend
the meet. However, he said he would not attend the meet to "honour"
the party's request.

The AAP body also announced a committee that will take care of the
April 22 agitation against the Land Acquisition Bill, when the party
plans to gherao Parliament on the issue.

This committee comprises Ilyas Azmi, Prem Singh Pahadi, Yogesh Dahiya,
Somendra Dhaka, Gurnam Singh and Kiran Vissa, which would decide on
the details of the agitation programme.

The party has also formed a committee under the leadership of senior
leader Sanjay Singh to look into expansion of the organisation in
other States.
