Instead of underscoring the fundamental fact of Indian skulduggery, that has just got exposed through the Defence Minister's unguarded boast - a la one of his subordinate officer's in the very recent past as regards blasting an intrding civilian Pakistani boat presumably in Indian waters, in the name of tackling the same by the Pakistani side, the call to the Prime Minister to issue a face saving denial is nothing short of hypocrisy and dishonesty wrapped in the cloak of "responsible nationalism".
The essential message is keep doing what you're doing, in any case, but just don't indulge in ultra-nationalist and plainly macho boasts in public - that's too stupid. You should be cautious enough to cover your tracks.
