Why action on Ambedkar-Periyar study circle? The ABVP has acted as a law unto itself in every campus - beating up teachers, physically attacking those who eat beef, assaulting those who disagree with them and forcibly imposing moral codes and policing. Yet no action on them. The Bajrang Dal and other affiliates attack Churches and mosques and yet not only no action on them, they are promoted. There was no permission obtained from the government in all communal riots includingGodhra. People's permission has never been obtained to change laws on land and other areas to help the corporates. There has been utter lawlessness and attacks in states ruled by the BJP and its affiliates. Why then ask students of Ambedkar-Periyar group permission to hold their meet? Should we have to get permission to think, to discuss, to debate and even dissent? - Ambrose Pinto
