The political concept of annihilation of class enemy is an out dated theory as far as Kerala is concerned. However, there are people who still hold it with a nostalgia, portraying such murders with an image of a `revolution’. In the name of revolution, some killings of an individual policeman or killings of an individual land lord have taken place a few decades back in Kerala. Those who explored this theory remain as jokers in Kerala’s political history. The gurus of such theories could never take responsibility for what happened to their followers. If you support the movement against capital punishment by the State, you must question the capital punishment given by activists also. No activism can flourish in this country without respecting the notion that every human being has a right to life. Though the political strategy of assassination is widely accepted as a wrong political strategy, some of them continued with character `assasination’ of individuals who are exploring different paths of activism. If not the `body’, at least the `character’! These jokers should also realise that ultimately, people will judge you by what you do and how you contribute. Oppose capital punishment mind and body!
