Student unions draw UN’s attention to Indian blockade

Sep 30, 2015- Various students union have drawn the attention of
United Nation and its Chairperson Ban Ki-moon over the hardships faced
by the Nepali people due to the unofficial blockade imposed by India.

Students submitted a memorandum to Resident Coordinator of the United
Nations Jamie McGoldrick today stating that India, with an excuse of
security threats to its freights, imposed the blockade and deprived
the citizens of fuel and other food items.

The organisations say that the blockade imposed was against the Vienna
Convention and demanded the UN resolve the current crisis in the
country.
