Friends, on this republic day, I must say I am a totally disturbed person after watching this video. I am extremely sorry to bring a sleepless night to all of you if you watch this video. Their actions speaks on the nation we have built as independent India, which does not respect half our population for being born as `women’. If this nation can behave to a 16 year old girl like this, I am sorry, I am not proud of your nation. You may stand up a dozen times when you hear the carefully edited version of National Anthem written by Rabindranath Tagore. It may not impress me. The point is how you treat the people of this country. Watching this video makes me wonder, what freedom has been achieved by us in this geography called India. Who are these self styled moral policemen who have been emerging in different parts of the country? Why are they allowed to take law into their hands? Why are the policemen bystanders in such gruesome crimes?. Is there anything called an executive machinery to preserve law in this land? Is there a judiciary to punish the culprits? Is there an authentic legislature to protect the basic freedom and human rights of women in this country? If this video explains what democracy we have achieved so far, I must say that there is something terribly wrong with your democracy.
