[As per another report (at <
https://www.thequint.com/news/politics/left-sweeps-jnusu-polls-abvp-second
>):

For prez: LU: 1,506 votes / ABVP: 1042 / BAPSA: 935
For VP: LU: 1,876 / ABVP: 1,028 / BAPSA: 910
For GS: LU: 2082 / ABVP: 975 / BAPSA: 854
For JS: LU: 1,755 / ABVP: 920 / BAPSA: 862

So, all in all, the LU - an alliance of the AISA, affilcited with the CPI
(ML)-Liberation, SFI, affiliated with the CPI (M) and DSF, a splinter from
the SFI, have won all the four directly elected seats pretty comfortably.

Quite notable is the performance of the Birsa Ambedkar Phule Students'
Association (BAPSA), formed a mere three years ago.
Though its performance in terms of the Councillor seats is rather dismal.

The last year (2016), the LU had consisted of only the AISA and the SFI.
It is the first time that the dominat AISA formed an alliance.
The alliance had won all the four directly elected seats and 30 out of 31
of the Councillor seats (as compared to 13 this year).

The year before last (2015), The President's post had been won by Kanhayia
Kumar, of the AISF (affiliated with the CPI). (Guess, the AISF had been in
alliance with the SFI.)
The AISA had won the VP and GS.
The ABVP, the JS. It had also won 11 Councillor seats.

New Delhi:

JNU is red again. With 32.6% vote share, 10 percentage points more than the
second best ABVP , the grand alliance of `Left Unity' bagged all four
central panel posts of president, vice-president, general secretary and
joint secretary in the JNU Students' Union polls.
Left Unity , comprising leftwing groups AISA, SFI and DFS [read: DSF], also
won 13 councillor posts. While Geeta Kumari of All India Students'
Association defeated Nidhi Tripathi of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad to
become the JNUSU president, Simone Zoya Khan (AISA) bagged the
vicepresident's defeating Durgesh Kumar (ABVP).

Students' Federation of India nominee Duggirala Srikrishna and Democratic
Students' Federation's Shubhanshu Singh were elected general secretary and
joint secretary , respectively , with big margins. While Left Unity swept
the JNUSU polls, the results of which were announced early on Sunday , the
rightwing ABVP put up a close fight till social science votes went
overwhelmingly in Left's favour, pushing the RSS-backed organisation out of
the race.

“It was a straight fight between two ideologies. They (ABVP) gave us a good
fight. The credit for the mandate goes to the students who still believe
that democratic spaces should be saved. This is a victory for the ideology
of social justice,“ said Geeta Kumari, the JNUSU president-elect.
