The real conflict due to emerging communalism and globalization is between those who value creation and destruction. I do not actually care whether we human beings came from monkeys or donkeys. But we have been a part of creation in nature. And, only those who respect life and creation, would be able to sustain life on this planet. And this community is a part of a tradition. It is a political tradition in India. Not necessarily any tradition of any party politics. This tradition may even have members from political parties. But this tradition is not dependent on any political party. Because this tradition is quite age old, right from the emergence of the human race. There is a universal value attached to it. You can not kill this tradition. For, if this tradition is killed, the human species will be over along with multiple species on this planet. Gauri Lankesh was a part of a tradition which respected life. The mistake that Sangh Parivar did was that they saw her as an individual. And their own tradition has only been a myth. Myths which could be blown up like balloons and could collapse at the point of a needle. Gauri Lankesh was actually a `Chiranjeevi’ since she was part of this historical tradition. The meaning of `Chiranjeevi’ is: `someone who will live forever’. A `Chiranjeevi’ will not die even if he or she is killed. The Telugu actor Chiranjeevi might have had more fans than Gauri Lankesh. But since he could not own any tradition, all these fans would vanish after his death. Some people are meant to be alive. And they do not die even if they are killed. Gauri Lankesh was one such human being. My heartfelt solidarity with all those who are keeping her memories alive!
