Two pre-poll surveys in Karnataka.

One by C fore, report carried, on May 4, by the web portal <oneindia.com>.

The other is by an unidentified agency, carried on May 5, by the very same
web portal.
While the survey by C fore, reportedly, interviewed 6247 voters from 61
assembly constituencies covering all regions using a structured
questionnaire between April 20th and 30th, 2018 and provides thereby a
detailed (six) regionwise break up, the second makes no mention of any of
these details.

The second one just blandly predicts 102-108 seats for the BJP, 72-74 and
42-44

That means a hung assembly, and the JD(S) the king maker.

The C fore survey predicts, out of total 224 seats, 118-128 for the
Congress with 45% vote share - a hike of 8% points; 63-73 seats for the
BJP, with 32% vote share - a hike of 12% points (because of return of the
prodigal sons and daughters since the last poll?); 29-36 seats for the
JD(S), with 18% vote share - a drop of 2% points.
It means clear victory for the Congress.
Incidentally, C fore in March had predicted 126 seats for the Congress, 70
for the BJP and 26 for the JD(S).
respective vote shares 46%, 31% and 16%.
So, no significant change over the last one month.

There were, in the past, other surveys predicting hung assembly with
Congress as the largest party.
The pre-poll surveys by C fore, reportedly, had "never been off the mark".
