[What Shah has said consists essentially of two parts. I. The NRC will be implemented all across the land and "infiltrators" would be identified. That's about the NRC. It's in their manifesto itself.
II. All "infiltrators" would be thrown out. However, exemptions would be made in case of Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs. This is about the Citizenship Amendment Act. The enactment of the above is also a promise of the manifesto. So, rather than any individual leader, it's the Manifesto itself. In this connection, one'd rather recall that in the context of the CIA failure to anticipate the Indian nuclear blasts on May 11 and 13 1998, it was observed that while the intelligence agency was busy digging into and deciphering "classified" documents, it had simply overlooked the BJP manifesto, very much in the public domain. Journalist Rifat Jawaid said the citizens are determined to remove the BJP first. ‘Too Late To Evict Buddha’ Twitterati poked fun at the tweet that mentioned ‘Buddha’ instead of ‘Buddhists’. Cause For Concern Journalist Mitali Saran said the statement is proof that there is cause for concern. Another journalist Vidya said the BJP’s official Twitter handle would get blocked for this hate-mongering if it were a just world.
