[By desisting from specifying the "documents" necessary and sufficient to
prove one's citizenship, the regime very much appears to have deliberately
left the business of determination of citizenship to the (entirely
arbitrary) "discretion" of the concerned government officials.

This makes it possible - in fact almost inevitable, use of widely varying
yardsticks for different individuals.
That strikes at the very roots of the "principle of natural justice", which
forms the basis of any "rule of law".

This deserves to be, *also*, legally challenged, regardless of the recent
track record of the Supreme Court.
That's, perhaps, one of the reasons why a declaration as regards the NRC is
still awaited.
