do all that it can do to block the confirmations of the appointees in the
new Cabinet, to begin with.

One'd like to hope that negotiations for the bilateral and multilateral
(nuclear) arms control treaties would resume.
The treaty with Iran would be revived.
At least now, public pressure towards these ends is likely to be more
effective.

The process of rejoining the WHO - a critical step in the global fight
against the pandemic, and the Paris climate agreement would soon start.
