The point is that this is the first and yet a definitive step towards diminishing the foundational scientific theories and confine these to some specific allocated corners and expunge from the students' broader mindscape -- general awareness and thought processes.
The agenda (ref.: < https://indianexpress.com/article/india/dina-nath-batra-again-he-wants-tagore-urdu-words-off-school-texts-4764094/>) as regards "history", "culture" and "politics" is, of course, pretty frank and forthright. But, we can very well sense the essential attitude towards basic science -- and objective rationality -- by way of these *initial* moves. A warning bell must ring loud and clear.
