It's true that the rules for the first letters are unclear in gregorio,
because I can't find a good rule for every case... But I'll try to decide of
a rule, and to apply and document it. In the meantime, you can just change
it in the produced TeX file, it is very easy.

(2) Also, there is a problem with the placement of a horizontal episema.
>  The syllable "rá" appears on a pes, and has an episema on the first note.

This kind of things can be changed by hand by replacing \hepisemus{f}{*}{*}
by \hepisemus{e}{*}{*} in the produced file.

I'll try to detect this case, and to make gregorio produce the good TeX
code, so that you don't have to change it by hand, because it can be very
boring...

I'm sorry I don't have a full internet access now, but even if I don't
commit I'm still working on gregorio!
