Of course there's more than one way to work around this: instead of
modifying the gabc file, I modified the tex output; this way I would be
sure that the note alignment remains correct (on the "o").
I'm grateful to see that you have a rough plan already for taking on
this bug. With a 0.9 release already being offered, blatant output
errors like this would scare users away, so I think such a case deserves
priority.
